Skills
for a Bright Future
Parents
and schools struggle to provide children with the skills
required to succeed in today's technology driven world.
The Fourth R offers unique training programs that empower
children of all ages with the computer skills to succeed in
and out of the classroom. Students
from kindergarten through high school benefit from courseware
carefully designed for each skill level--from keyboarding and
word processing to web design and
programming.
Younger
children get a positive jump start on computer technology
while boosting self-confidence and traditional skills—reading,
writing, arithmetic, creativity, problem solving and social
interaction.
Older
children learn how to take advantage of the
computer as a tool for homework, communication, research,
self-expression, and complex projects. Effective and
productive use of
technology has an enormous impact on a child's success in
school today.
Skill
assessment helps determine the most appropriate place for
a child to start. Novice
computer users start with fundamental skills. More advanced
users build intermediate skills as they learn how to use the
Internet for research, communication, word processing and
spreadsheets. Finally, students acquire more advanced skills
as they learn how to create multimedia presentations, design
and manipulate relational databases and publish web pages.
The most advanced students may choose to take
internationally recognized certification exams.
