Worldwide
School Initiatives
The
Fourth R recognizes that many schools worldwide lack the
financial
resources to implement a first-class IT education
program. These
schools typically work with underprivileged children in
developing countries and do not have a workable computer
lab. In response, the
Fourth R offers the following initiatives to qualified
schools.
Free
Course Resources
A number of specifically designed introductory
courses
are provided in PDF format for staff and student learning at a
school site.
Free/
Subsidized Teacher Assessment and Training
Teacher training is the catalyst
that spreads the use of technology
throughout a school. The Fourth R's unique training and
assessment programs provide teachers with a tremendous jump
start with IT fundamentals.
Fundraising
and Corporate Sponsorship Programs
A successful fundraiser may be all you need to get your IT
program rolling. Combine fundraising with corporate
sponsorship to get the best results! The Fourth R tries
to match corporate sponsors with schools short on
funds.
If you
feel your school qualifies, fill out a School
Inquiry Form and in the field labeled Briefly Describe
School, enter the word "Initiatives".
A Fourth R representative will contact
you with additional information on the programs available in your
country.
